Introduction to 12 Lead ECG

Electrocardiogram

This course is designed for RNs and patient care providers who care for patients who have 12 lead electrocardiogram (ECG) as part of their diagnostic data. Principles of electrocardiography, electrical axis, infarct patterns, chamber hypertrophy, differentiating tachycardias and proper lead placements will be presented. Implications for patient care will be discussed. Multiple 12 lead ECG tracings will be used for practice.

Prerequisite

Must have attended an ECG Interpretation Hybrid course.

Continuing Education Contact Hours

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 3.58 contact hours.

Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than five minutes late; no partial credit can be awarded.
