The UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center is Sacramento’s only NCI-designated center, offering early-stage clinical trials and the latest diagnosis and treatment options. Our oncologists have extensive expertise with uncommon cancers and are highly skilled in minimally invasive techniques, including robotic-assisted surgery.

Cardiology, heart & vascular surgery – Regionally ranked

Our world-renowned cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons specialize in the most innovative treatments for both common and complex heart conditions. They’re committed to providing treatment options across many areas of cardiovascular medicine, including advanced heart failure; structural heart disease; women’s heart health; complex aortic diseases; congenital heart disease and more. In addition, our experts at the multidisciplinary UC Davis Vascular Center are dedicated to providing comprehensive and state-of-the-art care for all vascular conditions. Neurology & neurosurgery – Nationally ranked #20

Our renowned neurologists and neurosurgeons specialize in treating Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, movement disorders, neuromuscular conditions, headache and sleep disorders while providing leading-edge diagnostic approaches, including advanced neuroimaging technologies. In addition, we are home to one of the nation’s largest outpatient surgery centers offering spine, nerve and functional neurological surgeries.

Our full spectrum of clinical capabilities ranges from routine back and joint problems to the most severe injuries and complex musculoskeletal conditions — all informed by internationally recognized expertise and research in adult foot and ankle; joint replacement for hip and knee; sports medicine; trauma; hand surgery and more. Nephrology – Ranked #33

Our pediatric nephrology program offers comprehensive, leading-edge, and evidence-based treatments across the entire spectrum of kidney care. In partnership with the UC Davis Transplant Center, our program continues to be the region’s only outpatient peritoneal dialysis service for patients under 10 years of age.

Orthopedics – Ranked #23

Combining the resources of Shriners Children’s – our longstanding partner on orthopedic disorders and spinal injuries – we provide comprehensive musculoskeletal care for children and treat a wide range of conditions, including limb deficiencies and prosthetics, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, neuromuscular conditions and more.

Pulmonology & lung surgery – Ranked #41

Our pediatric pulmonology & lung surgery team provides care for the most challenging cases, while harnessing research to advance and expand treatment options. Our specialists have expertise in treating rare lung diseases, cystic fibrosis, asthma, congenital lung disorders and more. We have invested significantly in our Cystic Fibrosis Foundation-accredited Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Care Center, and offer families top expertise from a multidisciplinary team including pediatric GI specialists, dietitians, respiratory therapists and more.
