Ekenechukwu Akabike submitted an abstract, entitled "Assessing readiness of black older adults to discuss advance care planning with their surrogates," for a presentation at the 2024 NAPCRG Annual Meeting. Akabike's abstract was accepted for presentation at the meeting, November 20-24, in Québec City, Canada. Congratulations to Akabike for this impressive accomplishment!
Kimberly Augustine helped the community organization SAC Connect with youth outreach by leading a women's health education program. On March 16, Augustine presented "Let's Talk Period! Navigating Teenage Wellness Through Menstrual Empowerment" to help young people understand and manage their health.
Congratulations to Maya London, who authored a new article on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Published in Jama Network Open, the article is entitled "Experiences of Leaders in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in U.S. Academic Health Centers." We encourage you to read this important work!
