Annual Halloween costume contest is almost here

Who doesn’t love an excuse to wear fairy wings, throw on a superhero cape, or dress up as their favorite fantasy character?

Each year, individuals and teams tap into their inner child – or teen – and arrive at work in colorful costumes for fun.

Public Affairs and Marketing has organized a costume photo submission contest for several years, offering participants an opportunity to win UC Davis Health merchandise.

This year’s friendly Halloween costume contest introduces a new feature: community voting. For the first time, UC Davis Health community members can use The Nest, the new internal communications platform launching next week, to vote for their favorite individual and team costumes.

Between now and Nov. 3, faculty, students, and staff are invited to submit a photo of themselves – or their team – in their favorite Halloween costume(s) for a chance to win a UC Davis Health swag gift basket.

Contest details

• You (or your team) must be wearing a Halloween costume in the photo.
  
  
• When submitting your photo, please provide the following information:
• Your full name, work title, and department
• If you are submitting a team photo, please describe whether the picture involves a specific unit/department or if the group includes folks from different units/departments.
  
  
• Submit your photo to socialmedia@health.ucdavis.edu by noon, Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Please note: If other people are included in the picture, please confirm they approve of the photo being posted on UC Davis Health social media channels.

Once the entries have been received, keep an eye out on The Nest for a chance to vote for your favorite Halloween costumes.
