Annual pumpkin carving contest returns

Food and Nutrition Services is once again hosting the Annual Pumpkin Carving contest, and all departments are invited to participate.

On Thursday, Oct. 23, pumpkins will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, until supplies last or until 5 p.m. Departments are encouraged to send a representative to the Pavilion Café to pick up a pumpkin.

Participants are asked to bring their carved or decorated pumpkins to the Pavilion Cafe early Friday, Oct. 31. Judging begins at 10 a.m.

Pumpkins will be judged on:

• Best use of unrelated items
• First impression
• Most creative design
• Design quality
• Final overall impression

Please remember to be considerate of patients and visitors when choosing a theme for your pumpkin.
