Celebrating generosity at the staff, faculty and retiree donor luncheon

Nearly 200 staff, faculty and retirees joined together on the Vanderhoef Lawn for the Annual Health Staff, Faculty and Retiree Donor Luncheon, a cherished tradition dedicated to celebrating and thanking our generous donors.

This special stewardship event—held Sept. 16—highlighted the impact of philanthropy across UC Davis Health and provided a chance to thank donors who support student scholarships and educational opportunities, research initiatives, patient care programs, and more.

The afternoon featured remarks from distinguished speakers, including Chief Medical Officer Joseph Galante, Vice Chancellor Shaun Keister, and Associate Chief Nursing Officer Joleen Lonigan, who each shared heartfelt reflections on the power of giving. Guests each received a gift of appreciation and cooled off with a sweet treat from Rich’s Ice Cream.

"The luncheon was filled with gratitude, meaningful connections, and plenty of smiles," said Lindsay Obringer, associate director of giving programs. "We are deeply thankful to our donors for making a difference in the lives of our patients, students and community through their continued generosity."
