Construction notification: Street paving on X Street south of the California Tower

Wednesday January 28th, 2026, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., the CUPx team will be paving across X Street just south of the California Tower. The work will be performed in two parts:

Part 1: Work to occur in the eastbound (southernmost) lanes. Eastbound traffic will be directed to utilize the westbound (northernmost) lanes.

Part 2: Work to occur in the westbound (northernmost) lanes. Eastbound traffic will proceed as normal by using the eastbound lanes.

Westbound traffic between 45th Street and the hospital is NOT permitted.
