Several activities are available to the UC Davis and UC Davis Health community in July. Don’t miss out on these free opportunities to tend to your well-being and mental health.

Tai Chi

Erika Strandjord hosts virtual Tai Chi weekly sessions. This is a gentle movement, mind-body practice.

ASAP support groups

Academic and Staff Assistance Program offers several online support group sessions for UC Davis and UC Davis Health community members. Multiple dates are available for each group session. Registration is required. For more details about each support group, click here.

Coping with grief, loss and change

This discussion/support group provides space for participants to share experiences of grief and loss, review strategies for coping and self-care, and find community.

Dates: Wednesday, July 9 (future dates TBD)

Eldercare Support Group

Participants will have the opportunity to share personal experiences with eldercare, learn about resources in the community and obtain guidance on relevant topics.

Support Group for Neurodivergent Staff

This is a caring space for Neurodivergent Staff at UC Davis to share ideas and support each other in utilizing strengths to cultivate: professional effectiveness; emotional well-being; mindful living; and interpersonal understanding.

Summer 2025: Live Online Mindfulness Meditation, Kindness Meditation & Mindful Pause

Focus on your health and well-being and strengthen your inner resources with science-based mindfulness meditation, kindness meditation, and mindful pause. Open to all UC and UC Davis community members, beginners and experienced meditators alike. These sessions will be led by Neesha Patel, Ph.D., of Staff and Faculty Health and Well-being. Registration dates and details are noted below: 

Live Mindfulness Meditation
Dates: Mondays, July 7 through Sept. 15
Time: 4:30 – 5 p.m.

Live Kindness Meditation
Dates: Wednesdays, July 16 through Sept. 17
Time: 12:30 – 1 p.m.

Join a fun-filled Zoomba class (or two) with Noriko. Sessions occur online every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, including holidays.
