Galante chosen to serve on Vizient Academic Medical Center CME Steering Committee

Joseph Galante, the Chief Medical Officer for Hospital Clinical Care Services at UC Davis Health, has been selected to serve on Vizient’s Academic Medical Center (AMC) Chief Medical Executives (CME) Steering Committee.

This national appointment, which begins Jan. 1, 2026, follows a competitive selection process and recognizes Galante’s leadership and contributions to academic medicine. As a member of the Steering Committee, he will: • Participate in quarterly committee meetings to help guide the design and delivery of AMC CME events and education. • Provide insights on emerging health care trends and advise on program content. • Contribute to shaping the AMC CME Network strategy. • Serve an initial two-year term, with the option to renew.
Galante will collaborate with other senior leaders from academic medical centers across the country to advance education and strategy within the Vizient network.
