The UC Davis Health community is brimming with holiday spirit.

Earlier this month, staff members shared snapshots of their festive decorations, offering a glimpse into the traditions that make this season special. From sparkling mantles to heartfelt ornaments, these photos tell stories of joy, gratitude and remembrance. A big thank-you to everyone who submitted their holiday photos. Enjoy a few highlights below, and find more images on UC Davis Health’s Facebook page.

Monica Sanchez, Risk Management:

"Christmas will always be my favorite holiday. I show my team my appreciation by decorating the whole suite and making it festive during December. I also like to bring some holiday treats for them to enjoy."

Dorothy Frederichs, Patient Care Resources:

“My holiday mantle brings me such joy. I’ve had some of these decorations for years, but every year my family and I add a little different something to it, such as the huge pinecone found in the redwoods."

Rona Greenley, Emergency Medicine:

“The backstory behind this ornament is that my father passed away last year from cancer, and I was having a rough time during the holidays. Someone gave me the idea of creating a tradition of purchasing an ornament to keep his spirit alive every year. So, I bought my dad his very own Christmas tree and decorated it with ornaments that remind me of him. Having this tree doesn’t give me sorrow, but feelings of serenity and joy.”
