Leadership message: Have fun at the new Living Our Values Tour

Dear Colleagues,

The best part of my job is getting to hear stories about employees living our values of Kindness, Trust and Inclusion. Your interactions with each other and with patients go far beyond the typical workplace communications. You care about one another.

We want to celebrate you, who embrace UC Davis Health’s wholehearted culture. In that spirit, I’m proud to introduce the Living Our Values Tour.

Throughout the year-long tour, we’ll learn why Kindness, Trust and Inclusion are critical to our unique culture, and the impact of choosing them each day. You can expect to see guest speakers, videos, special content and interactive exercises that honor how we can and do live our values. 

The first is a video from our leadership team, to kick off the Living Our Values Tour. Take a watch. Maybe share it during your next team huddle. Use the opportunity to discuss or recognize a colleague who acted with Kindness, Trust or Inclusion.

From there, head to the Values Tour landing page for information about more events and programs. Between January and April, we’ll focus on Kindness, followed by Trust May through August, and ending the year with Inclusion. My hope is that we’ll wrap up 2024 inspired by our fellow coworkers and energized by the power of these values, which were chosen by us!

We believe in the power of Kindness. We believe in the necessity of Trust. We believe that Inclusion means everyone.

We believe in better.
