East staff entrance to Medical Center re-routed in early October

Due to California Tower construction, staff entering the hospital through the Surgery and Emergency Services Pavilion at the Emergency Department will be rerouted.
The re-routing will begin in early October.
The re-route, originally planned for Summer 2023, is now taking place in October.
As seen in the image above, staff entering through the Emergency Department will need to do so on the south side of the building. As shown below, scaffolding and fencing will be noticeable at the front of the Emergency Department where the main entrance is located. The current landscaping will be removed to widen the concrete walkway for staff.
Further information will be provided leading up to the change, and reminders will be posted several times leading up to the date the new entrance will go into effect, for staff awareness.
