Michelle Linenberger, a senior  nursing professional development specialist at UC Davis Children’s Hospital, has been recognized with the UC Davis Foundation’s 2025 Faculty/Staff Stewardship Award.

Presented annually by the UC Davis Foundation Board of Trustees, the award honors faculty and staff who go above and beyond in building relationships with donors and community partners, and helping advance UC Davis’ mission through gratitude, storytelling, and engagement.

For more than 25 years, Linenberger has dedicated her career to improving the lives of children and families through her work in pediatric nursing and her leadership in the Children’s Miracle Network. In her current role, she helps connect community supporters to the hospital’s mission of saving children’s lives and improving their overall health.

“As a member of both the Children’s Miracle Network's Executive Council and Business Council, I take great pride in being part of the ‘miracle’ fundraising for the Children’s Hospital,” Linenberger said. “From my experience as a nurse, I understand the difference people make through their gifts of both time and financial support.”

Linenberger’s work exemplifies UC Davis Health’s values of compassion, teamwork, and accountability, and shows how philanthropy can translate directly into better care, expanded programs, and hope for patients and families.

“I’m honored to share my experience in pediatrics and critical care to help donors see the impact of their generosity,” she said. “It’s a privilege to lead philanthropy for the Children’s Hospital and witness how it changes lives.”
