UC Davis Health has been named one of the 2026 Best Workplaces for Commuters––an honor achieved by providing a robust employee commuter benefits program to its employees, by helping reduce traffic congestion and by improving the overall quality of life for those who live and work in the region.

Best Workplaces for Commuters is the national authority on recognizing and assisting workplaces that provide exceptional commuter benefits to employees.

“We’re proud to honor the 2026 Best Workplaces for Commuters. These organizations are truly transforming how people travel to and from work,” said Julie Bond, program director for Best Workplaces for Commuters.

This year’s Best Workplace for Commuters list highlights more than 780 locations across the United States and in Canada that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to providing efficient and innovative transportation benefits. The designation shines a spotlight on organizations that have emerged as true leaders in promoting efficient and cost-effective transportation.

“We’re thrilled to be awarded the designation of Best Workplaces for Commuters for the seventh year in a row,” said Sarah Janus, sustainability officer for the Green Commuter Program. “It showcases our commitment to sustainability and employee wellness.”

The Green Commuter Program at UC Davis Health promotes sustainable transportation methods like walking, biking, taking public transit, or carpooling. The program offers a variety of benefits and services to employees, such as subsidies on regional transit, route planning assistance, secure bike parking, carpool matching programs, and a Guaranteed Ride Program to get you home in case of an emergency.
