Mammograms now available at Elk Grove clinic inside the new MobileMammo+

(SACRAMENTO)

Mammography appointments are now available at the UC Davis Health Elk Grove Clinic. UC Davis Health patients can book their breast cancer screenings weekdays from 8:20 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.

Screening mammograms take place on board the new state-of-the-art MobileMammo+ unit, which will be parked at the clinic located at 8110 Laguna Blvd. in Elk Grove.

MobileMammo+ is equipped with the latest technology including 3-D mammography.

Services on the 45-foot-long clinic-on-wheels are identical to mammography facilities at other UC Davis Health radiology clinics.

Patient navigators will be available to help with any needed follow-up tests and ensure that, if necessary, cancer treatments are received promptly.

Mammograms can correctly identify about 87% of breast cancers in women.

“It is very exciting to bring 3-D screening mammography to our Elk Grove Clinic,” said MobileMammo+ Manager Alyssa Reed. “Women will be able to get their annual mammogram close to home and the easy parking will make it extra convenient.”

You can learn more about how to prepare for a mammography screening in this guide from the Department of Radiology.
