Philosophy of Care

My philosophy of care is to treat every patient with respect and dedication, and to deliver evidence-based patient-centered high-quality care at UC Davis.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Guo is a board-certified endocrinologist offering care to patients with various endocrine conditions such as thyroid disease, diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis, parathyroid disease, and others.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Guo has done research in the past relating to thyroid nodule evaluation, promotion of pancreatic β-cell preservation and therapeutic stratigies in diabetes mellitus, and neuroendocrine-immune crosstalk in hypothalamic pituitary adrenal axis function. Currently she is part of a multidisciplinary research team at UC Davis to improve the diagnosis and linkage-to-care of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in patients with type 2 diabetes. This is the patient population associated with an increased risk of death. Dr. Guo also enjoys teaching medical students, residents and endocrine fellows, in particular thyroid functional disease.
