I aspire to provide comprehensive, high-quality, compassionate and evidence-based medicine to the patients I care for on a daily basis.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Nisha Punatar is a bilingual Hospitalist in the Department of Internal Medicine who offers care to patients in the inpatient setting. She has special clinical interests in public health, preventative medicine, and global health. During her training, she had extensive clinical experience with international research and volunteer work in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Guatemala and Bolivia.
Research/Academic Interests
Dr. Nisha Punatar's primary academic and research interests include public health, quality improvement, and preventative medicine specifically related to nutrition and obesity-related illnesses as well as global health and infectious diseases. In addition to this, she enjoys participating in clinical education and mentorship for medical students and residents.
