Philosophy of Care

Elaine provides patient centered care to adults living with diabetes. She focuses on getting to know you and identifying your strengths in diabetes self-management. She also identifies areas to enhance your daily self-management with education, tools and resources as they relate to healthy eating, physical activity, diabetes medine, monitoring blood sugar, problem solving for for high and low blood sugar, healthy coping with a chronic disease and risk reduction for diabetes related complications. She will partner with you, your endocrinologist, and primarry care physician towards goal of  living well with diabetes.

Clinical Interests

Elaine Reynolds is a diabetes care and education specialist and a registered dietitian with over 30 years of care experience in outpatient community care. She provides medical nutrition therapy and diabetes self-management training to people living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. Additionally, she is a certified insulin pump trainer.

Research/Academic Interests

Elaine Reynolds educational interest includes current and future diabetes device technology including insulin pumps, continued glucose monitors and smart glucose meters. She is passionate that a person is not called a diabeteic, but as person living with diabetes who needs individualized care.
