Dr. Yiaslas is a licensed clinical psychologist in the Behavioral Medicine Clinic, at the Sacramento VA Medical Center. He directs the Cardio-Metabolic Disease Reversal Program, an interdisciplinary behavioral/lifestyle modification program adapted from interventions that have resulted in regression of atherosclerotic blockages, confirmed with invasive coronary angiography. He has a special clinical interest in bringing atherosclerotic heart disease reversal interventions into routine clinical practice.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Yiaslas’ research and academic interests are in primary and secondary cardiovascular disease prevention interventions and elucidating novel biomarkers that mediate positive treatment outcomes.
