Ear, nose, and throat issues are common in childhood and can often affect a child's quality of life. I strive to help identify and address hearing, breathing, sleep, and feeding issues early in life to promote healthy growth and development.
Dr. Funamura is a fellowship-trained pediatric otolaryngologist (ear, nose, and throat surgeon) who cares for children with conditions affecting breathing, voice, feeding/swallowing, hearing, and speech. Her clinical practice includes collaborating with other specialists to provide multidisciplinary care for children with conditions affecting the ears, nose/sinuses, mouth/throat, neck, and upper airway, with a focus in the complex ear and airway issues.
Dr. Funamura academic interests include outcomes research in children with hearing loss and tracheostomy-dependence, and early hearing loss identification and treatment.
