It is my duty as both an emergency physician and anesthesiologist to make sure you receive the optimal care to ensure you are safe and comfortable. I want to ensure you that I will try to treat you in a well-rounded and comprehensive manner however I can. It is an honor to take care of others, a honor I do not carry lightly.
Dr. David Leon is a dual-trained anesthesiology and emergency medicine physician that takes care of adult patients both in the emergency department (ED) and the operating room (OR). He is focused on carrying for critically ill and traumatically injured patients across the spectrum of their care, from pre-hospital to the ED and the OR and beyond. He has special clinical interests and expertise in trauma and resuscitation, particularly in topics of transfusion medicine, hemostatic resuscitation, whole blood usage and regional anesthesia in the ED for the acutely injured patient.
Dr. David Leon's research interests focus around care of the traumatically injured and critically ill patient throughout the spectrum of care, with particular focus on hemorrhage care, blood management, ED resuscitation and acute pain control through the use of regional anesthesia in the ED and ORs.
