UC Davis Health’s Cheryl Sadro listed among top chief financial officers
Becker’s Hospital Review recognizes top academic medical center CFOs
Cheryl Sadro, chief financial officer at UC Davis Health, has been recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the “academic medical center CFOs to know” for 2023.
Becker's recognized this prestigious group of leaders for their efforts to oversee the overall financial health of their institutions, lead long- and short-term financial strategies, manage large budgets and oversee strategic partnerships.

At UC Davis Health, Sadro provides executive oversight in several areas for the Health System, School of Medicine, School of Nursing as well as UCDH’s many affiliated organizations. These include financial reporting and forecasting, decision support, budgeting, managed care contracting, governmental reimbursement, health information management, patient access and revenue cycle services. In addition, Sadro oversees the UC Davis Health Facilities Planning and Design organization which is currently overseeing $7B in campus construction and redesign.
Before assuming her current role with UC Davis Health in April 2022, Sadro spent seven years at the University of Texas Medical Branch, where she served as the executive vice president and chief business and finance officer.
Sadro's career spans more than 35 years of service in public accountancy and financial leadership of major, mission-based health systems.
