Practice Philosophy:
I have a passion for taking care of people and solving problems. It’s why I went into the healthcare field. My job as a medication safety officer allows me to do both by evaluating the medication use system and continuously improving to achieve the best outcomes both for patients and healthcare workers. Another passion of mine is to ensure healthcare workers are supported when a mistake unfortunately occurs. My goal every day is to equip and motivate all clinicians to participate in identifying unsafe scenarios and share their ideas for system redesign. I believe we all have a responsibility to the patient and to one another to speak up and build a stronger safety structure. When we unite in a common goal of fixing safety issues instead of pointing fingers, I have discovered we can accomplish amazing things in healthcare.
