Bio:
Dr. Daniel Louie is an ambulatory care pharmacist at UCDH. After completing his PGY1 Ambulatory Care Residency at UCDH, he was hired as the first transition of care pharmacist focusing on heart failure patients. He then staffed in the inpatient central pharmacy before finding his way back to ambulatory care. Dr. Louie is currently one of the primary pharmacists for the Centralized Clinical Pharmacy Services. He is actively involved in various projects to enhance ambulatory care services. He participates in multidisciplinary committees.
Dr. Louie serves as a primary preceptor for the Centralized Clinical Pharmacy Services – Refill and Prior Authorization. He has experience precepting pharmacy students and residents. He is involved in residency research and quality improvement projects. He is a volunteer faculty at UCSF, College of Pharmacy and UOP, School of Pharmacy. In January 2017, he was recognized as Employee of the Quarter.
