Bio:
Dr. Kevin Lau is a Manager of Retail Pharmacy at UC Davis Health. Dr. Lau began his pharmacy career in 2006 working as a pharmacy clerk at Longs Drugs. In 2007, he became a certified pharmacy technician (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). From 2009 to 2011, he attended pharmacy school at the University of the Pacific.

After graduating in 2011, Dr. Lau worked at CVS Health as a Pharmacy Manager. In 2014, he earned the Regional Paragon Award as the top pharmacy manager from 153 stores in the region.

In 2014 Dr. Lau accepted a position at UC Davis Health to be the supervisor of the Pavilion Discharge Pharmacy where he led his team to consistent prescription volume growth of over 10% annually. Over a 5-year time period, the Pavilion Pharmacy prescription volume doubled and the discharge capture rate increase from 40% to 76%. At UCDH, he has served as a community pharmacy practice preceptor for APPE students from University of the Pacific and UCSF. He also served as President of the Sacramento Valley Pharmacist Association’s chapter of California Pharmacists Association (CPhA) in 2016. In 2020, Dr. Lau was promoted to Retail Pharmacy Manager.
