Bio:
Dr. Kofi Andoh is the Pharmacy Manager, Home Infusion Services at UC Davis Health (UCDH), deemed a nationally recognized health system dedicated to providing remarkable healthcare. As a part of the UC system, Dr. Andoh leads UCDH home infusion expansion, operations within the newly established Shared Services Center (SSC), clinical oversight, and financial stewardship of the service line.
Prior to UCDH, Dr. Andoh completed a PGY1/PGY2/MS health system pharmacy administration and leadership residency at UW Health where he served in various leadership capacities to help progress the health system and pharmacy department. As Interim Pharmacy Manager - East Madison Hospital & Madison Rehabilitation Hospital, Dr. Andoh directly managed 15.0 technician FTE in direct reports and supervised 16.0 clinical pharmacist FTE across both inpatient and outpatient settings. As the Health System Pharmacy Intern Supervisor, Dr. Andoh managed and onboarded 13.0 student FTE throughout various practice sites, coordinated the summer intern program, and devised intern staffing schedules integrated with coexisting experiential programming.
Outside of direct HR experiences, Dr. Andoh has accrued robust experiences across specialty pharmacy, oncology practice, and acute care operations. Examples of such experiences include analyzing system variance amidst an $80,000,000 oncology drug budget, developing an inpatient to specialty pharmacy referral system, implementing Omnicell's Controlled Substance Manager (CSM), and creating a system-wide controlled substance waste monitoring program to mitigate drug diversion and fortify sterile compounding best practices.
With a Division I collegiate athletic background, Dr. Andoh understands the importance of work ethic and looks to apply his acquired leadership qualities to the profession of pharmacy for years to come.
