Bio:
Dr. Richard (Rico) Haftmann is board certified in pediatric pharmacotherapy. He has been a part of the UC Davis pharmacy staff since 2017, primarily practicing in the PICU/PCICU, as well as the NICU. After graduating pharmacy school from the University of Utah in 2014, he went on to complete a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency at University of Arizona.

Richard is an active pharmacy student and resident preceptor/mentor. In addition to day-to-day precepting, he has mentored resident research projects and resident Grand Rounds presentations. He is also actively involved within the institution as the pediatric pharmacy representative for the Pain & Sedation P&T Subcommittee, as well as the Inpatient Pain Task Force. Through these committees he has extensive experience working with order sets and policies pertaining to the realm of pain and sedation. Nationally, Richard has given platform presentations and poster presentations at the Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group (PPAG) Annual Meeting, AHSP Mid Year, as well as the ACCP Annual Meeting.
