- Dr. Charles Scott and Dr. Richard Rosner have been awarded the prestigious Guttmacher Award for outstanding contributions to the literature of forensic psychiatry by the American Psychiatric Association for the 2017-2018 academic year.
- Dr. Charles Scott, Dr. Barbara McDermott, and the current UC Davis forensic psychiatry fellows presented at the UC Davis/Department of State Hospitals Mental Health Forum on Decriminalizing Mental Illness at the California Department of Health Care Services auditorium in downtown Sacramento on June 7 and 8, 2018.
- Former fellow Dr. William Newman was nominated as president-elect of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law at the American Psychiatric Association 2018 Annual Meeting.
