Black History Month
Special events planned by the African American Faculty and Staff Association
In February each year, the focus is on celebrating and recognizing the contributions and achievements of African Americans throughout history, highlighting important figures, events, and cultural aspects of the African diaspora; essentially, it's a time to learn and appreciate the significant role Black people have played in American society.

At UC Davis Health, the African American Faculty and Staff Association (AAFSA) has upcoming events planned for Black History Month, some including:
- Principles of Community: Affirming Black Women - Why Solidarity and Psychological Safety Matter; Tuesday, February 11, 12 – 1 p.m.
- Dismantling Structural Racism in Mental Health: Challenges w/ Dr. Ruth Shim; Wednesday, February 19, 12 – 1 p.m.
- Black History Game Night presented by AAFSA at Davis and Health; Wednesday, February 26, 5 – 8 p.m.
