Make a Colleague's Day

Has someone on your team recently gone above and beyond or simply lent you a helping hand? Start the summer by sharing gratitude and brightening a colleague's day!
You can acknowledge and reward your UC Davis Health colleagues in one of two ways using the BEST Rewards online recognition system:
-
$25 e-gift card for the recipient's chosen store
-
Non-monetary e-thank you
This month’s BEST Reward Highlight is from nurse practitioner, Shari Barela, to neurodiagnostic supervisor, Brooke Leite in the EEG lab.

“I want to take a moment to recognize Brooke for going above and beyond in obtaining an essential medical record that could significantly impact our patient’s outcome. She independently reached out to multiple offices on her own time to ensure we had the critical information needed to guide this patient’s care appropriately.
"This level of initiative, dedication, and patient-centered focus is very typical of Brooke – and it does not go unnoticed. Her efforts exemplify the kind of commitment that makes a real difference in the lives of our patients.”

Support for leaders

Make the most of WorkLife's Recognition Toolkit for Managers and Supervisors that highlights information and resources for acknowledging and rewarding employees.
When employees are more engaged, their organization performs better – and data validates this.
- Research from the Harvard Business Review revealed that symbolic awards – interventions such as congratulatory cards, public recognition, and certificates – can significantly increase intrinsic motivation, performance, and retention rates.
