International travelers should review the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s “Travel Health Notices” website before finalizing their plans. The regularly updated site has important information on current health issues, including disease outbreaks and natural disasters, in specific destinations along with recommended precautions: Watch Level 1 (practice usual precautions), Alert Level 2 (practice enhanced precautions) or Warning Level 3 (avoid nonessential travel). The goal is to provide detailed guidance prior to departure so your travels are free of health worries.
Travelers who develop medical problems either during or within two months of return are also advised to contact the clinic for diagnostic testing and treatment. Symptoms of particular concern include fever, diarrhea, skin lesions or rashes.
