Dr. Black's clinical interests include: Medical Critical Care; Cardiothoracic Critical Care- Extracorporeal Life Support and Mechanical Circulatory Support; Neurocritical Care; Multidisciplinary approaches to critically ill medical- surgical and neurological patients; and Clinical Pulmonary Medicine.
Dr. Black's research and academic interests include: Quality and performance in critical care medicine; Markers of performance in critical care; Adult Medical, Surgical, and Neurocritical Care curriculum development; and Clinical Medical Ethics.
