Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor

My philosophy of care is to focus on getting to know what's important for my patient's quality of life, and then provide interventions and treatment recommendations that can help to improve or maintain that quality of life. In my spare time, I also serve as a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force and enjoy going to Sacramento Kings games.
Dr. Gallardo is board certified in internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine. He cares for patients with serious and life-limiting illnesses. He has a special clinical interest in cancer pain management.
Dr. Gallardo's academic work focuses primarily around medical education. He provides lectures and trains fellows, residents and medical students in topics of hospice and palliative medicine.
