Dr. Vega is an infectious diseases specialist who cares for immunocompromised patients, including solid organ transplant and hematopoietic stem cell transplant recipients. Her clinical expertise includes the prevention, diagnosis and management of infectious complications in these populations. She has a special interest in invasive mould infections.
Dr. Vega's research interests center on infectious diseases affecting immunocompromised patients, especially invasive fungal infections. She is interested in advancing approaches to prevention, diagnosis and treatment to improve patient outcomes.
