My philosophy of care centers on providing compassionate, evidence-based medicine that places each patient at the heart of their care. I believe in fostering open communication and shared decision-making, ensuring that patients feel heard, informed, and actively involved in decisions about their health. I strive to take a holistic approach to medicine, addressing not only acute medical concerns but also chronic health conditions and the social and cultural factors that influence overall well-being.
Dr. Escobedo is an internal medicine physician and hospitalist at UC Davis Health, providing comprehensive care to adults with a broad range of acute and complex medical conditions. His clinical interests include the management of complex medical conditions, improving healthcare access for underserved populations, and addressing disparities in healthcare delivery. He is particularly committed to providing culturally responsive, patient-centered care to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Dr. Escobedo's academic and research interests focus on healthcare disparities in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), particularly differences in access to advanced therapies and clinical outcomes among historically underserved populations. His work aims to identify barriers to equitable care and contribute to improving treatment access and outcomes for patients with IBD.
