COVID Vaccine (no walk-ins)

  • To schedule the COVID vaccine, employees and medical students have a few options:
    • Self-schedule using MyTurn
    • Call the CA COVID-19 Hotline at 1-833-422-4255
    • If you would like to get vaccinated through UC Davis Health, you can schedule an appointment at 916-703-555.
  • Once vaccinated, please upload documentation of your COVID-19 Vaccine in your myRecordTracker. Please email hs-studentrecords@ucdavis.edu with any questions.
  • If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Dr. Jain or Roy Rai.
  • If you are symptomatic (i.e., not passing the symptom screening), please do not participate in on-campus activities and let Dr. Jain know ASAP so he can help you navigate your situation.
  • If you are trying to get tested through Employee Health in Sacramento and have not heard from them within 2 hours of completing the symptom screen, please give them a call at 916-734-3737.
  • Fully vaccinated students with an exposure can continue to work and come to school as long as they are asymptomatic.  Students should indicate their exposure on the Daily Symptom Survey and discuss the need for testing with EHS.
  • Please also reach out to Dr. Jain immediately if you are symptomatic and/or get a positive test result, as we don’t automatically know who tests positive. We can help with appropriate contact tracing, medical education accommodations, financial hardship, and other resources for students with symptoms.
  • Please contact Gizella Jarrell if you have any financial hardships related to COVID.
  • Asymptomatic COVID-19 testing is available on the Sacramento campus in the Administrative Services Building (ASB) and inside the UC Davis Medical Center’s University Tower employee entrance (near Parking Structure 3). These two sites are open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. Appointments are highly encouraged (click here to schedule) as they are faster for the employees, students and testing staff. Additionally, mobile testing teams are covering 20 ambulatory care locations for unvaccinated employees who are not on the Sacramento Campus, with the goal of minimizing travel time for students and employees who are required to test. If you have any questions about these asymptomatic testing updates, please contact the Asymptomatic Collection Team at 916-596-5971 or hs-saccollection@ucdavis.edu
  • If you have not been vaccinated yet and are on campus, you are required to get asymptomatic COVID-19 testing every four days. To get asymptomatic COVID-19 testing, follow these steps:
    • Schedule your appointment via here.
    • Be sure to complete your Daily Symptom Survey and be ready to show this or scan your badge on the day of your scheduled appointment at the respective locations
    • Do not eat or drink at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment time.
    • If you are having any issue scheduling, please email loginproblems@shcs.ucdavis.edu or reach out to Roy Rai.
    • Go to this website
    • Sign up for an account and please use 'UCDHFamilies' when prompted for a code
    • Walk-ins are also welcome, though there may be a wait depending on appointment volume
    • Collection sites:
      • Sacramento (Betty Irene Moore Hall) Monday-Friday from 6:00 am – 2:00 pm.

More Changes for Mask Policy: Due to a new Sacramento County Public Health order (effective July 30, 2021), all employees and students are now required to wear a mask indoors.  In light of this public health order, the UC Davis Health mask policy has been updated to remove the ability to take off a mask when in a cubicle.  Under current public health orders, the only places masks can be removed are outdoors, or when alone in a car or office (regardless of vaccination status).

    Other changes to mask-wearing requirements:

    • all unvaccinated employees and students in clinical settings are nowrequired to wear an N95 mask (or higher level of personal protection) and unvaccinated employees in non-clinical settings are strongly encouraged to wear an N95 mask.
    • all unvaccinated employees and students who might encounter patients at any point during the day, or enter into any patient or clinical areas, are required to wear an N95 mask.

This change is for source control of potential infections from unvaccinated persons, as well as to provide unvaccinated persons with a higher level of personal protection from infection.  Vaccinated persons may wear a standard surgical mask or use an N95 mask (or higher) if they choose.

Once you have been vaccinated, submitted your documentation through myRecordTracker, AND the documentation has been approved by Registrar Office, you will receive a personalized email link from ‘UC Davis Health Wellness Check’. Everyone should complete the emailed survey. One choice in the survey allows people to ‘opt in’ and skip the online daily symptom survey before coming to work – if they work in an area with a badge-reading scanner and a door screener.

Short-term laptop loaner: If you have an emergency and need a laptop for short-term, please reach out to Roy Rai.
