Personal and Professional Interests: As a subspecialty pathologist in transfusion and apheresis services, I devote my clinical time seeing both inpatients and outpatients with a variety of hematologic and immunologic conditions on the apheresis consult service. I also performs consultative services within the transfusion medicine/blood bank department working up complex immunohematology cases. I teach medical students, residents, and fellows in all aspects of transfusion medicine practices. I am passionate about quality improvement and integrating new technologies into the transfusion medicine service. I enjoy learning about new breakthroughs in the field and discussing how these can be integrated into current practice.
