Kiki has been my daughter’s primary nurse since day one of her cancer journey at the Pediatric Infusion Center. Kiki’s love and care for my daughter has gone above and beyond what was ever asked of her. Kiki very quickly developed a wonderful trusting relationship with my daughter. My daughter was always apprehensive about getting her port accessed for chemotherapy. Kiki would listen to my daughter’s needs and fears and always put her mind at ease. Watching the beautiful relationship develop between my daughter and Kiki brings tears to my eyes. Kiki was another shoulder for my daughter to cry on and confide in. A million thank you’s would never express the love and appreciation I have for Kiki. My daughter and I recently moved after completing the hardest part of her treatment here at UC Davis Health. Kiki made sure to supply an information sheet about her, including tips for successful port access and hints to calm her nerves . She wanted to make sure her new nurses at her new hospital could give her the same love and care Kiki provided. Kiki deserves this award!
