I recently had a stay in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Heather Donaldson was one of the many excellent people that attended to me. I would like to nominate her from the team because of her care, knowledge, skills and warm smiles, I will always remember from this experience.

There are two specific memories that stay with me. First, she was exceptionally patient with me when I asked her about the pharmacokinetic differences of various anticoagulants and she answered with expert detailed knowledge, all the while smiling and never missing a beat on performing her work. I have a very deep science and engineering background (Electrical engineering, physics, computer science, and medicine), hence I tend to want to ask a lot of very detailed questions that sometimes irritate people. But not Heather, she quickly engaged me and answered at a level of detail, I would say is not common even among medical professionals and kept on smiling.

The second time was the following day when she rescued me from the emergency department after I had been there for 12 hours and they still had not figured out a way to stop a small blood leak. Heather fixed it in minutes! She is simply awesome!
