DAISY Award
Congratulations to Mahabat Trute
As a GYN/ONC patient, I have been admitted to the 12th floor about 4 times. One of my assigned nurses, Maha, has been so extraordinary each time I am here. This last visit I’ve had has been quite long and complicated. Maya has helped me and been so compassionate when it comes to my pain levels and health problems. She is so kind and sweet, yet noticeably intelligent and is focused on her patient care and comfort while getting things done. She has made my long stay here as pleasant as it could be and I’ll remember her forever.
A grateful patient
About the DAISY Award
The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses recognizes outstanding members of the nursing community and the very special work they do every day. It was established by the DAISY Foundation in memory of the extraordinary nursing J. Patrick Barnes received when he was hospitalized. (DAISY is an acronym for diseases attacking the immune system.) This nursing recognition award program offers patients, families, and professional colleagues a way to honor nurses for all they do. The DAISY awardees consistently demonstrate excellence through their clinical expertise and extraordinary compassionate care.
