Silvest Morris, Leader Bio | UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center

Silvest leads the Cancer Center Informatics team, where he partners with university and health system enterprise IT to design, implement, and support information solutions for clinical research, core facilities, and cancer center administration. He began his career at UC Davis in 2005 as a computer programmer and has since developed a unique blend of hands-on technical experience and strategic vision, focusing on evaluating emerging tools, streamlining complex processes, and ensuring technology initiatives align with research and organizational goals. Recognized with the UC Davis Employee Excellence Award for Teamwork and Collaboration, Silvest is particularly passionate about working with colleagues across NCI-designated Cancer Centers to advance integrated research data capture, improve system interoperability, and enhance decision-making through more efficient reporting and analytics. He holds a Master's degree in Information Technology Management.
