Solution-Focused Sessions
Solution-focused counseling sessions are goal-directed short-term sessions that focus on helping you explore current resources to build solutions to problems. Some examples of solution-focused approach include trying to decide if and when to go out on disability from your job; how to talk about your cancer with family, friends and/or co-workers; how to transition back to work at the end of cancer treatment; how to address common difficulties and barriers to engaging in cancer treatment, etc. Solution-focused session(s) may be right for you if you want to talk out and decide about a specific concern but are not looking for ongoing counseling.
