CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) Overview

CPR and Basic Life Support training is required of many health-care professionals and lay rescuers to help revive, resuscitate, or sustain a person who is experiencing cardiac arrest or respiratory failure.

The UC Davis Health Center for Professional Practice of Nursing offers courses that are available for employees and community participants in the Sacramento area.

Proof of Completion

Employees who have taken BLS outside of UC Davis Health and need to update their certification in UC Learning Center may e-mail their AHA card to cppn@health.ucdavis.edu.

Only AHA cards can be accepted per hospital policy 3010.
