Clinical Interests

Dr. Amsterdam specializes in management of acute ischemic syndromes, identification and management of low-risk patients with chest pain (immediate treadmill testing, role of panic attack, GERD), post-myocardial infarction risk stratification and management, and prevention of coronary artery disease.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Amsterdam's research interests include: coronary artery disease, clinical pharmacology, noninvasive cardiac testing, exercise physiology, testing and training, women and heart disease, evaluation of low risk patients presenting to ED with chest pain.
