Dr. Socola completed a sub-fellowship in bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy (CAR T cell) at Stanford University, after completing his training he worked for 4 years at Tulane University, New Orleans LA, in the department of Malignant Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant, during this time he became an expert in the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes, he also focused his career treating patients with aplastic anemia and myeloproliferative neoplasms (chronic myeloid leukemia, essential thrombocytosis, primary myelofibrosis and polycythemia vera).
Dr. Socola's research focuses on finding new ways to reduce the relapse rate of acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome before and after allogeneic stem cell transplant.
