I believe excellent palliative care begins with understanding what matters most to each patient and family. My goal is to combine
thoughtful symptom management with clear, compassionate communication so patients understand their illness and can make
decisions that reflect their values and goals. I strive to meet patients and families where they are and help them maintain the best
possible quality of life throughout serious illness.
Dr. Nwosu is a hospice and palliative medicine physician who cares for patients with serious and life-limiting illnesses across
supportive oncology, inpatient palliative care, and hospice settings. His clinical interests include symptom management,
cancer-related pain and other complex symptoms, serious illness communication, goals-of-care discussions, advance care planning,
and prognostication. He focuses on aligning medical care with each patient's values, goals, and quality-of-life priorities.
Dr. Nwosu's academic interests focus on improving the integration of palliative care across inpatient, supportive oncology, and hospice
settings, including quality-improvement initiatives that strengthen primary palliative care in the hospital and intensive care unit. He has
additional interests in medical education related to prognostication, serious illness communication, and symptom management. He is
also interested in the use of artificial intelligence and clinical technology to improve physician documentation and workflow.
