About Briana: Born and raised in the East Bay, my path, as a nontraditional student, has taken me from studying nutrition and anthropology at New York University to working as a forensic pathologist assistant and now to medical school at UC Davis. Beyond academics, I enjoy being active through running (with the goal of running a marathon), hiking, camping, and rock crawling with my dogs and husband. At home, I spend my time renovating our house and reading.

Research Advisor:

Research Interests: My research interests sit at the intersection of pharmacogenomics and precision medicine. I want to examine individual variability in drug metabolism more closely. I want to connect what we already know about variation to current treatment strategies.

Why you chose ARC: I chose ARC because it offers the unique opportunity to merge all my past experiences with my medical training. ARC fosters a supportive environment that emphasizes mentorship and collaboration. This pathway provides a bridge between translating data and clinical practice, which is a foundation I want to build my career on.
