Food Services

UC Davis Medical Center is proud to be the largest farm-to-fork food service in Sacramento, America’s farm-to-fork capital.

Our Food and Nutrition Services team is shifting toward whole-food and plant-based ingredients that are locally sourced, instead of relying on highly processed food or pre-mixed meals.

We have been recognized on the “Good Food 100 Restaurant” list for our commitment to sustainable food purchases, and received other honors and awards for our food service.

We prepare your meals following dietary guidelines recommended by your registered dietitian and prescribed by your doctor.

A dietetic assistant will help with your meal selections within 24 hours of the time that your diet advances to a solid texture.

Meals meeting religious and cultural needs are available.

Meal times:

  • Breakfast: generally from 6:45 to 9:30 a.m.
  • Lunch: generally from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Dinner: generally from 4:45 to 7:30 p.m.

If permitted, you may request crackers, soup, milk and juices from your nurses throughout the day.

Please note: The Pavilion Café mentioned below is temporarily closing for repairs from Jan. 13–28, 2024. During this time, please enjoy one of our other dining options (PDF).
