Evaluation
The Evaluation unit supports faculty, staff, and students engaged in educational training and research, advancing the School of Medicine mission to improve health through education, research, clinical care and community.
2024–2025 Accomplishments
Project Portfolio
- Managed more than 24 evaluation projects:
- Long term partners: UC Davis Clinical and Translational Science Center, School of Nursing, and
Western Center for Agricultural Health and Safety
- Evaluated National Institutes of Health (NIH) K-awards, T32s, fellowships, and research grants.
- Added new partners including the Comprehensive Cancer Center, UC Davis M.D./Ph.D. Program, AMID T32, eMCDB T32 and the Genome Center
- Long term partners: UC Davis Clinical and Translational Science Center, School of Nursing, and
Grant Support
- Supported 14 new and renewing grants.
- Provided logic models, evaluation plans, metrics and letters of support.
Data Visualization
- Hosted monthly data visualization drop-ins (Canva, Excel, dynamic charts).
- Created tutorials and templates; supported the Tobacco Control Evaluation Center.
- Engaged more than 30 staff from 22 departments.
Professional Accomplishments
- Produced one peer-reviewed publication: two under review.
- Presented at the American Evaluation Association (AEA); one proposal submitted for 2025.
- Contributed to the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) SEA Change Silver Award.

National roles in the (AEA), the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) Program, and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH); peer reviewers for academic journals.
