Research Space Oversight

The Research Space Oversight unit conducts space assessments, supports department relocations, and collaborates with stakeholders to meet research space and facilities needs.

2024–2025 Accomplishments

  • Successfully supported the relocation of 36 research labs to Aggie Square, with more underway.
  • Partnered with consultant firm to manage complex logistics, schedules and stakeholder coordination.
  • Provided full-cycle support: planning, execution and post-move assistance.

  • Coordinated construction, cleaning, decommissioning and upgrades to minimize downtime.

  • Managed more than 50 specialty vendors, including:
    • Cold storage and chemical movers with generator trucks & hazard support
    • White-glove equipment vendors for delivery, setup, training, and seismic anchoring
    • Lab & office movers who assisted with setup and even hung faculty artwork
    • Contractors who collaborated across infrastructure and logistics.
